Grant Solicitation Animal Rescue Support Grant Program
Overview
The City of Fresno (City) Animal Center’s mission is to increase live outcomes for animals by reducing the euthanasia rate. With guidance from our partners, we strive to reunite pets with their owners by providing resources to City of Fresno residents.
The City is providing grant funding to nonprofit organizations that serve City of Fresno pets and pet owners. The goal of this grant is to provide support to organizations providing services that further our mission.
Available Funding
The City can award up to $2,500 per organization. There is no minimum award. Grant funding will be awarded on a reimbursable basis. Up to 50% of funding will be provided up front. The remaining funding will be issued upon submission of receipts. The number of grants awarded will be based on funding availability.
Eligibility
501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations in the City of Fresno will be eligible to apply for grants to provide animal rescue services to City of Fresno resident pet owners. Your organization must be tax-exempt 501(c)(3), active, and in good standing with the IRS, California Franchise Tax Board, and California Secretary of State.
Eligible Expenses
Eligible expenses may include animal supplies and operating costs including but not limited to food, shelter, potty pads, medical supplies, blankets, spaying and neutering, vaccines, medication, deworming, etc.
Requirements
Receipts and invoices must be submitted to [email protected] for reimbursement within 30 days of purchase. Organizations awarded funding will be required to enter into an agreement with the City.

Electronic proposals are preferred. A hard copy will be accepted but is not required, and can be delivered at:

You may submit hard copies in person daily from 10 AM – 4 PM, closed Thursdays.
