found a Pet.
STEP 1:
Check for a
Collar and Tags
His / her family might be a
phone call away.
STEP 2:
Take the pet to be
Scanned for a microchip
Any veterinarian, rescue group, or shelter will have a microchip scanner. There is no charge for this service.
STEP 3:
Where did you
find the pet?
The Fresno Animal Center only accepts stray dogs and/or sick/injured cats within the City of Fresno.
STEP 4:
Fill out a
Found Report
This report will provide us with information about
the pet you have found.
STEP 5:
Make found flyers
Include clear pictures, distinct descriptions, and your phone number. Post these flyers in the area where the pet was found. Ask local businesses if they can post the flyers on their windows or bulletin boards.
